Chick Boomgarden[1] was the owner and proprietor of a competitive retail electronic store which opened across the street from Grampa's store. He had snappy advertisements including a television commercial with what may or may not have been his actual family. Something which annoyed him to no end as the new store garnered a lot of consumer interest and traffic than his own.
