Dragon Summit^[1]^[2] is the twelve episode of season one of American Dragon: Jake Long and the fourteenth episode overall. It was debuted as the ninth episode of the series as part of Disney's April Fool's Day marathon.

Plot

Jake, Grandpa and Fu Dog heaed to the train station. Jake wondered how they are going to take the train to a magical world, but Grandpa said they are taking the elevator, Jake still got confused. When Grandpa pressed the elevator buttons and switched it the elevator came with a magical creature helping them with the bags. Fu Dog told Jake to hold on, and the elevator went downward really fast. Jake reaches as he skated on his skateboard, but an Australian Dragon named Fred Nerk makes him trip and Andam turns into a dragon and hits the skateboard and Kulde turns into a dragon and rescues Jake, but breaths ice and accidentally freezes Chang.

Jake had did a couple of bad things such as using shape shifting powers for personal games, revealing dragon identities to humans, and taking a soul sucking nix to a school dance, but Fu told Councilor Kulde he shouldn't blame Jake, cause Jasmine was hot Omina, Chang, Kukulkhan, Andam, and Kulde get confused). Lao Shi told the councilors that Jake is brave, has a good heart, and even greater... FU! (shows Fu is playing a violin) What? I thought you were trying to create a mood here. The Dragon Councils show 3 tests such as the Test of Judgment in Fire, the Test of Wisdom in Battle, and the Test of Courage in Flight and they required Jake to pass at least 2.

First test is Using Dragon-Fire, this test is shooting fire balls at Ice Sculpture, he suppose to fire at the bad guys and not fire the good guys. But since he had a sneezing powder, it went off that Jake started sneezing and he shot fireballs at the good guys and he failed. His Grandpa got disappointed at him. Fu says the council never wanted him to be Jake's master because they didn't want any relatives training a young dragon,

In a volcano, there's an evil and dark creature-like dragon in gray clothes, and a servant arrived and told the evil dragon that Jake failed the 1st test.

They later were training for the second test, Knowledge in Battle. Jake challenges Fu (who'sin a griffin costume) in a statue museum. Jake wondered why the Huntsman is the #4 Threat and the #1 Threat is the Dark Dragon. When the battle starts, Jake has to fight the Brownies. He used what he always uses "Plan Jake" but as the test says you have to have knowledge to win. When Brownies are winning, Jake thought and remembered that brownies like shiny things, he made the dirt shiny by shooting fire balls and caught the brownies in his bare hands, and he passed.

Later, he is about take the test Courage in Flight. Jake chose the Australian dragon as his opponent, when Jake and his opponent are flying, Nerk does mean stuff to get Jake off guard, but when Jake has him beat, Nerk got grabbed by a shadowy hand and gets taken in a volcano. Jake tried to find him, but the same evil dark creature-like dragon arrives who was the Dark Dragon and ambushes Jake. A bunch of foot soldiers that work for the Dark Dragon called Shade Demons corner Jake. Jake fought the demons and rescued Fred Nerk. Jake fights the Dark Dragon, but Fred Nerk arrived and stopped Dark Dragon.

Jake failed the 3rd test, since Nerk beat him. Jake told the Dragon Councilors and the other dragon that the Dark Dragon is back. Nerk told Andam Jake had Nerk beat, but Jake turned back to save him. Councilor Kulde told Jake that sacrificing his own glory to save a dragon in danger shows good Test of Judgment in Fire, and Omina nods. Kulde gave a Jake a bonus credit that says pass. Chang got mad, but Jake just dropped the Dark Dragons claw.

When Grandpa and Jake and Fu Dog are leaving Grandpa acted serious because the Dark Dragon knew too much about the test, meant that there is a dark spy working with him.

Meanwhile back at the volcano, the Dark Dragon failed and the same servant who arrived revealed to be Councilor Chang!

When Jake and the gang are about to leave, him and Fred Nerk shook hands and pulled one last prank and the same one at each other.

-Jake, Grandpa, and [[Fu Dog]] are traveling to the [[The Isle of Draco]], a summit where world dragons meet, share techniques, and ideas. Most importantly, it is where the [[ Dragon Council]] resides. They take the Enchanted Elevators to reach the other side of the world. To make a good impression as the first American Dragon, Jake tries to show off his skateboarding moves, but the Australian Dragon Fred Nerk uses his tail to trip him from his board, hurtling Jake toward the Dragon Councilors. Inside the council chambers, the Dragon Council reprimand Jake for past actions since they violate the Official Dragon Code. They give Jake three tests that will judge his skills and standards as a dragon.

A montage of pranks between the two follows. When Jake is about to pull one last prank on Fred Nerk using Magical Sneezing Salts, he's called in for his test by [[Councilor Kulde]]. The test is the Judgement in Fire; Jake must use his fire to melt ice targets that are threatening but spare creatures that aren't. During his test, he runs into an unicorn ice-sculpture, causing him to fall along with the sneezing salts which makes sneeze fireballs everywhere.

Fu Dog reveals that the council has a policy of not letting relatives train each other and only allowed Lao Shi to train Jake after much persistence. If Jake doesn't pass the next two tests, he would be assigned a new master. At the bottom of a volcano, a cloaked Chang meets with the Dark Dragon to tell him that Jake has failed his test.

Despite the council's belief that the Dark Dragon is gone, Grandpa does not and is why he insisted on training Jake himself.

While Fred Nerk focuses on being in the lead, Jake makes sure to take care of the creatures around him. During their flight above the volcanoes, a shadow hand appears after Jake but grabs Fred Nerk instead, bringing him inside the cavern. Jake goes to save him and comes face-to-face with the Dark Dragon.

Regardless of the circumstances, Councilor Chang still fails him for her test, but since Jake went back to save Fred Nerk, Councilor Kulde passes him for his test in Judgement of Fire. Councilor Chang is upset that they'd ignored one-thousand years of rule for the two boys, so Jake gives her the Dark Dragon's claw as proof.
