The main theme music of the Disney Channel original animated television series American Dragon: Jake Long. The theme music's title is "The Chosen One", was written and composed by Billy Lincoln, Kat Green and Michael Gurley. It is performed by Mavin in Season 1 and by the Jonas Brothers in Season 2 alongside the series' voice actors.

Zooming to apartments, the lead skateboarding. The lead's parents kissed, became clumsy. The lead's sister caked. Still skateboarding and see his friends. The lead's friends are unimpressed. The lead became dirty while the taxi moves the mud. The lead's friends skateboarding and Rose falls in love for the lead. The lead morphs into a dragon. A dog and the lead's master see the villains. The lead shocked and morphed again. Rose pulled a dragon's tail. The dragon breathes fire to a dog and the lead's master burnt. The dragon flies and see his fantasy friends. The dragon roped into apartments' clothespin and dressed as a girl. The clips of each episode featured. The series' logo pops up and the lead's friends (alongside a dog) are performing music. Rose walks the stage, kissing a lead and morphed into a mop. The lead is doing cleanup and hitting the series' logo as a gong.
The Jonas Brothers recorded Season 2's theme music. The Season 2 intro was modified from Season 1 to fit the new animation style, adding billed credits.

The lyrics between the Season 1 and Season 2 intros are basically the same, although some lines have been modified for Season 2. Those modifications are minor and almost unnoticable, although Jake's solo was rewritten completely, but remained stays close to the same concept as the original version.

- An instrumental version of the Season 1 intro plays during the ending credits of the first season.
- Both intros of the series were fully translated into many other languages, including French, Danish, and Spanish.
- The Season 2 intro has a part in which it shows short clips of the current episode (actually completely tainted of either blue, red or green) while part of the credits roll at the same time.
- Music videos do exist for both seasons.
- In the second theme song, it is implied that Jonathan knew about Jake's secret in the middle of the series, only for it that instead he knew the secret by the series finale.
